Sopu is an acoustic ensemble that carries out activism by singing and playing songs about war, peace, death – and life. In an era of uncertainty, and fear even, the group wishes to create hope among people and strengthen faith in goodness.
Our program includes songs that have become peace anthems such as Näin yöllä unta kauniimpaa and Korkea veisu, but also band member Juska Saksio’s own songs and some new Sopu repertoire.

The group consists of Sanna Helén, Kari Kantonen, Antti Kettunen, Hilkka Rauhala, Juhani Saksio and Eeva-Liisa Vihinen.
