Paavo Kässi Duo

Paavo Kässi is a singer-songwriter from Tampere, whose fatefully poetic songs are a blend of rhythm, rock and tearing love. Performing together with guitarist Tuomas Räisänen, Kässi’s songs are a blend of roots music meets the beauty of folk and Zen Buddhist art. Sinooperintummina glhkuvat kappaleet kertovat yöhön kätkeytyneistä suudelmista ja särkyneistä sydämistä, joiden taustalla kaikuvat Räisänen ja Kässin väkevän aistikkaat gitárarat.
Kässi, who has toured all over Finland, has performed with indie artists such as Hulda Huima, M, Mikko Sarvante, Lätsä, Tuhka and Klara LaFleur, and the avant-garde ArtMan duo of Arttu Seppänen and M. A. Numminen. Last autumn, Käss and his Takaoven mies band released a music video “Loimuava kuu” (Loimuava kuu), produced by the cross-artistic performance community and VHS club led by Kalevi Suopursu, which also performed at the Flow festival.
