Japanese well-being event brings also FInnish culture enthusiats from Tokyo online

こんにちは, is your calendar full? You are warmly welcome to the Japan Project pop-up event on May 17th, 2025. Its purpose is to increase well-being in the Japanese style for the body and mind. You can come alone, as a couple or with the whole family, because there is something for everyone at the event – and well-being is guaranteed! The event is located in Lähde library building.
The Japan project is not only about deepening research and university cooperation, but also about spreading awareness about Japan! Project Manager Anna-Maria Wiljanen and MOVI’s Pauliina Takala, Jussi Jussila and Akiko Ichinose have created an event, which consists of four parts.
Knitting is good for the brain, for which you can participate in a knitting workshop, which is also attended online by people from Tokyo.
You have also the opportunity to study Japanese at the Japanese Language café.
You can also come and listen to a reading of Tove Jansson’s Moominpappa and the Sea in the original language in Swedish and Japanese.
Physical well-being is tested with the Rajio Taiso exercise, which stretches stuck muscles. The youngest members of the family make potato stamps in Japanese style! No pre-registration is required.
Warmly welcome!
