Having earned his stripes in numerous orchestras, Röntynen has stepped deep into tradition with his well-worn boots and is now roaming the land with his banjo in tow. Across the pond, this music would fit effortlessly into the shadowy corners of the southern gothic or outlaw country tradition. The result is a unique fusion of distinctive folk—described aptly as “Canned madness.”
