The next Yläkaupungin Yö will be held in mid-April, on the weekend following Ascension Day, May 15–16, 2026.

Compared to previous years, production will have more time this season and will slowly start working before the end of this year. The application form for performers for the 2026 event will open at the beginning of January and will remain open until the end of February. Follow Yläkaupungin Yö’s social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date with our activities.

At the same time, the official application form for marketplace vendors and other presenters will be opened, but negotiations for some of the slots will begin before the end of this year. If you have any questions about the festival market square, or if you would like to participate in the festival market for the first time as a vendor, presenter, or other entertainer for the festival crowd, please contact us by email at [email protected].

With the warmth brought by the increasing sunshine in springtime, our production team will also be growing: in addition to the executive director and producer, it will be complemented by other employees and interns – and closer to May, also by many volunteers. Yläkaupungin Yö aims to be organized as widely as possible through collaboration between many different parties. We want to encourage people to join us in organizing the event.
